Neds Bookmaker Review

Neds was released in 2017 and has since added their expertise to the competitive online bookmaker market in Australia.

Another bookmaker derived from the mind of Dean Shannon (, comes Neds, which struggled to find traction early on, but has quickly caught fire since. Despite the betting platform being released during the busiest period of the year and the website suffering significant problems, punters were rewarded for their loyalty.

It has since established itself as one of the premier bookmakers in Australia.

Neds Features

A big plus for Neds comes in the form of its features. They not only have a great promotions team, that offers customers unique deals daily, but they have everything a punter could want.

The Punters Toolbox allows you to get the edge on the competition and get all the info other punters might not have access to.

It shows that they are going the extra step, and with how-to guides spread throughout the site, Neds has every level of punter covered.

Neds has a good range of sporting events and live betting platform. Punters, who were with the team from the get-go, knows the struggles they had early on. Some sporting markets weren’t available, and there were limited options.

However, it’s now a comprehensive sporting platform, and although they still focus on horse racing, we’re pleased with the improvement.

Neds offers Best Tote or Starting Price (SP). It means that punters get the best odds across three totes or the final fixed odds price, whichever is higher. Best Tote Place and Mid Tote Place are also available punters, as well as a comprehensive fixed odds betting platform.

A negative for Neds is its lack of international racing markets and futures betting, but they are getting better at offering these.

Neds App

Neds has an app for Android and iOS users. It comes complete with all the features from the desktop site, and it’s one of the better ones we have seen.

Because the team at Neds has excellent experience in the IT field, they were always going to create a customised app that helps punters in every way.

It’s quick, easy, and punters have enjoyed using the app since its inception.

Customer service

The customer service at Neds is an interesting story. Neds was released just before the 2017 Melbourne Spring Carnival, and the site wasn’t able to handle the influx of people. That put pressure on the customer service team, and they responded in fine fashion.

It was a tough entrance to the market for the customer service team, but they handled thousands of queries with aplomb.

That enabled them to hone in their customer service skills and we happy to report that standards haven’t dropped.

Despite a tough beginning in the Australian market, Neds has come through with flying colours.

They remain one of the best forward-thinking bookmakers in Australia, and we can’t see that changing in the foreseeable future.
